In LPL 2020, The Island country, resuming trying their luck, has decided to commence with the five teams. In Lanka Premier League five franchises will be representing five cities of the country; Colombo, Kandy, Jaffna, Galle, and Dambulla.
All the matches are held at the three venues. Sooriyawewa, Pallekele, and Dambulla, with the semi-finals and final to be played in Pallekele. The Colombo city will not be getting the premium hosting rights amidst its ongoing renovation. Australia and India test series is also delayed due to IPL 2020
It is going to be a super start for them as they have taken many initiatives from the global T20 Leagues, CPL, IPL, PSL, Vitality Blast, BBL, LPL, and many more. They tried their best to hold the tournament back in 2018 but, it got suspended and scheduled for the next year that did not bring luck either.
