Tom Banton, Eoin Morgan, Pat Cummins to Undergo 6-days Quarantine For IPL

IPL, As England vs. Australia matches has recently been ended, the players from both sides have started joining their respective franchises for the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020). The IPL management at UAE is following restricted quarantine rules to keep the contestants healthy amidst the COVID-19. According to BCCI Source, more than 20,000 Covid-19 tests will be conducted During IPL 2020.

As the players after leaving have headed to Dubai on Thursday, they will have to be COVID-19 negative before being part of their sides. It has been decided that England and Australia players will undergo a six-day quarantine before heading towards any game. However, it all depends on their home basis. If Dubai is the player’s home base, he can be directed to the squad after the COVID-19 test whereas, those who have to travel to Abu Dhabi will undergo isolation.

Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders are currently the two franchises with Abu Dhabi as their home yard. Out of these two, MI is lucky to get no Australia/England player. On the contrary, KKR will be missing on their three major players.

Eoin Morgan, Tom Banton, and Pat Cummins, who has left UAE and will be in Abu Dhabi to join the squad, will be in the six-day quarantine. It will consequently deprive them of the first match of Gautam’s men.
