MLS vs MLR Match Analysis and Review:
Melbourne Stars produced a stunning performance, while the most important thing was that they are now back in the running for a spot in the finals of BBL10. Stars with a superb display to beat Adelaide Strikers in their last match. Despite ticking around seven and over for most of their innings, the Stars came to life in the final four overs as they developed from 112/2 to 179/2, which was mainly due to Andre Fletcher’s superb 89* out of 49.
Despite ticking around seven and over for most of their innings, the Stars came to life in the final four overs as they developed from 112/2 to 179/2, which was mainly due to Andre Fletcher’s superb 89* on 49. The bowling unit then backed it up magnificently as they skipped the Strikers for the dismal 68. Despite Adam Zampa shining with 5-17 figures, it was a tremendous all-around performance that got the job done.
Melbourne Renegades failed to build on their rare win against Adelaide Strikers in their previous match as they last succumbed to Brisbane Heat, leaving them with just two wins out of their ten games so far. Beau Webster did help his side to 149/6 with an undefeated half-century.
However, the top order did not have any real impact. He left the Renegades short of where they would have liked to be at the change of innings. Some poor field efforts then cost them an opportunity to stop danger man Chris Lynn cheaply and ultimately ended up making 50 runs. Joe Burns scored the remaining runs needed to condemn the Renegades to yet another loss.
